I put plush seat covers in my car for comfort but now they’re covered in short dog hairs that mat into the pile. Washing them shrinks the fabric. Any dry cleaning method that works?

Plush covers look cozy until pet hair embeds. I start by vacuuming with a brush attachment on low, then use a rubber pet mitt to lift more. The fine hairs that stay need extra adhesion. Keeping lint rollers for pet hair extra sticky in the garage means I can roll over the seats fast—the stronger glue grabs without pulling fibers out. Do it in one direction for best results. Way cheaper and easier than replacing covers every season.
