boat actuator

we added an actuator setup to our pontoon boat for the anchor lift last year. What helped was making sure everything we used had solid corrosion resistance—especially anything with electrical components. We ended up getting a waterproof actuator specifically designed for marine setups, and it’s held up great so far. You can check out marine automation gear made for this kind of use at this boat actuator https://www.progressiveautomations.com/pages/maritime that’s what pointed us in the right direction.

I don’t mess around with boats, but I’ve seen what ocean air does to gear just living near the coast. Even bikes rust in no time if they’re left outside. Honestly, any tech used regularly near saltwater needs to be built like a tank or it just doesn’t last. I’ve started applying that same logic to outdoor stuff at home—patio furniture, lights, even my garage opener.
