Jessica Riestra
Public Policy and Advocacy Manager
Jessica is the Public Policy and Advocacy Manager for Make the Road PA. Sis the daughter of Mexican immigrants who migrated to this country to provide support to their families. She has a bachelors in Political Science and Ethnic Studies from Sacramento State University and is currently pursuing her Masters in Foreign/Diplomatic Affairs.
Jessicais a community organizer at heart who has served in multiple roles realming from nonprofit roles to political campaign roles. She has served political campaigns such as the California Democratic Party as a field organizer in 2018 to her most recent role as a Constituency Organizing Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2022. Nevertheless, she has been a huge advocate on social issues in which she was worked as a Regional Organizing Director for March for Our Lives towards a Youth Statewide Organizer for the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers. Moreover, being part of different roles such as Gun Up which touch on education.
She loves serving her community and creating equitable opportunities for all.Â
