Myriam Ramirez
Community Organizer in Philadelphia
Myriam Ramirez is a mother, grandmother and trusted leader in Philadelphia. She is proud of her Puerto Rican roots and is a proud Philadelphian. Myriam started working for Make the Road PA as a canvasser after someone approached her to register to vote. She not only registered to vote, but immediately wanted to work with the organization to register others. Myriam is passionate about worker justice and fighting for immigrant rights. She led a local campaign to get an undocumented worker his back pay from an employer who refused to pay them for their time. Myriam leads the workers’ committee in Philly and was a founding organizer of MRPA in Northeast Philadelphia.
