I keep wondering whether traditional book publishers are still the smartest option for writers. Some people say publishers provide credibility, editing, and marketing, while others argue they take too much control and offer limited support unless you’re already well-known. With so many authors turning to self-publishing, are traditional publishers still worth pursuing? Do they actually help new writers succeed, or is it becoming harder to break in? I’d love to hear experiences from anyone who has worked with different publishers.
