Cirrhosis treatment options – what actually works?
Hi everyone, my uncle was recently diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and the doctors mostly talk about diet, no alcohol and symptom management. But I keep reading about different treatment approaches abroad and some clinics that claim they can really slow down or even improve the condition. Has anyone here looked into specialized treatment for cirrhosis (not just supportive care)? What options are realistic and where did you find reliable information? Thanks!

From what I’ve seen, cirrhosis treatment really depends on the stage and cause, but yes – there are places that go beyond standard “just wait and see” approach. My friend’s relative went through a program that combined meds, strict detox protocols and some regenerative therapies. It didn’t reverse everything, but his tests improved noticeably after a few months.
Not saying it’s a miracle, but this page has a pretty detailed patient experience with cirrhosis treatment abroad https://stemplus.clinic/disease-treatment/cirrhosis/ – might be useful to read real feedback before deciding anything. Always double-check with your own doctor though, everyone’s case is different.
