From my experience, the most important factor when selecting a vendor is their practical background with real projects. A lot of companies advertise analytics skills, but only a few actually provide structured ai consulting services that start with a discovery phase and business analysis. In our case, the consulting stage helped identify realistic use cases and data limitations before any development started. That approach saved us time and budget compared to jumping directly into model building.
