Moving to Dubai
I’ve been a freelance technical writer for almost a decade, and earlier this year I decided it was time to stop living out of short-term rentals in different countries. Dubai had always been on my radar because of its business-friendly rules and the fact that most of my clients are based in the Gulf region anyway.
I browsed multiple property websites, but https://dubai-real.estate/ was the one that actually helped me narrow things down without drowning in irrelevant listings. Found a small but modern apartment in Dubai Hills, signed the deal, and got everything processed within a few weeks. The transparency of the listings was a big relief because I was doing most of the search remotely.
Adjusting has been smoother than I expected. The city is incredibly convenient, and the time zone fits perfectly with my work schedule. If someone is looking for a stable base for remote or freelance work, Dubai really does offer a lot more than just the postcard image.

I told myself “United Kingdom rules: timer first, feelings second,” and opened Big Bass Bonanza for a small evening set. Early reels were quiet; old me would have nudged the stake, but I kept it flat and wrote down the scatter gaps. Right in the middle I continued through bigbass and stayed steady. Free spins appeared with a simple two-fisherman sequence that paid back the drift. The timer beeped; I cashed the small win and walked away, weirdly satisfied that calm beat curiosity for once.
